The BD Venflon I is a type of peripheral Intravenous (IV) cannula used for intravenous access, meaning it's inserted into a vein to deliver fluids or medications, draw blood, or monitor blood pressure. It features a passive safety system to prevent needlestick injuries, a design for patient comfort, and uses BD Vialon™ catheter material which softens in the vein for potentially longer dwell times.
